Billie Eilish, Green Day, Jelly Roll, Stevie Nicks to Headline FireAid Benefit Concerts

Inglewood’s Intuit Dome and Kia Forum will each host a benefit concert later this month to help aid the communities devastated by the ongoing California wildfires.

The concerts, dubbed FireAid, are described as “an evening of music and solidarity,” set to both take place on Thursday, January 30. Shelli, Irving, and the Azoff family are producing the event in conjunction with Live Nation and AEG Presents.

The events aim to help rebuild communities and support efforts to prevent future fire disasters throughout Southern California. Proceeds from the shows will go towards a 501(C)(3) created for this event, which will focus on rebuilding infrastructure, supporting displaced families, and advancing fire prevention technologies and strategies to ensure Los Angeles is more prepared for fire emergencies.

On Thursday, AEG Presents revealed a stacked round of performers, including Billie Eilish and Finneas, Earth, Wind, & Fire, Gracie Abrams, Green Day, Gwen Stefani, Jelly Roll, Joni Mitchell, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Baby, P!nk, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rod Stewart, Sting, Stephen Stills, Stevie Nicks, and Tate McRae. Additionally, Dave Matthews and John Mayer will take the stage for the first time.

FireAid will also be broadcast and streamed live on Apple Music and the Apple TV app, Max, iHeartRadio, KTLA+, Netflix/Tudom, Paramount+, Prime Video, and the Amazon Music Channel on Twitch, SiriusXM, exclusively on “Live With John Mayer,” Spotify, SoundCloud, Veeps, and YouTube. Select SMC Theatre locations across the U.S. will also livestream the show.

Los Angeles is currently experiencing the most destructive fire in the city’s history.

The largest blaze at this time is the Palisades Fire, burning between Malibu and Santa Monica. Other active fires include the Eaton Fire in Altadena, Hurst Fire and Lidia Fire in San Fernando Valley, and the Auto Fire in Ventura County.

While firefighters have slowed the progress of the fires, the 14,000-acre Eaton fire is 55% contained as of Thursday morning, while the Palisades fire — covering 23,700 acres — is only 22% contained. According to the Los Angeles Times, the Eaton fire has killed 17 people, making it one of the deadliest fires in California’s history. At least 25 people have been killed across the Greater Los Angeles area, while 26 people are currently reported as missing.
