Last week, an unofficial entertainment lineup for this year’s RodeoHouston was leaked online, but the rodeo has now confirmed that the schedule, featuring top acts like Cardi B and Brooks & Dunn, is real.
When the leak surfaced online, RodeoHouston took to Twitter, noting that fans would have to wait for the official announcement on January 3 to see if these artists are really performing.
Hmmmm, that’s a mighty impressive lineup. ? But is it the real lineup? We’ll have to wait until the Jan. 3 reveal to see! #RODEOHOUSTON

Now, the Rodeo has confirmed that the leak, although unplanned, was correct.
“The leak was real and I will tell you it was not intentional and it did not come from within our office,” RodeoHouston CEO Joel Cowley said. “Once it was leaked and we started seeing what people were saying online…we thought we could maintain a little intrigue until tonight and have a little fun with it.”
The Rodeo will kick-off on Monday, February 25 with a performance from rising pop-country star Kacey Musgraves, followed by country’s Luke Bryan, Old Dominion, Luke Combs, Turnpike Troubadours, Tim McGraw, Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson, Kane Brown, and Brad Paisley. Latin artists like Camila Cabello, Los Tigres Del Notre, and Prince Royce will make an appearance, as well as EDM star Zedd. Rock artists Santana, Kings of Leon, Zac Brown Band, and Panic! at the Disco will also perform.
One of the most surprising acts is rap artist Cardi B. Over the past year, Cardi has made a name for herself in the industry, rising to fame as one of the top female rappers with her debut studio album, Invasion of Privacy.
“When we had the potential to get Cardi B, we jumped at that chance,” Cowley said. “And I think the place is going to be rocking that night. She is arguably the biggest thing in music right now.”
George Strait, who was previously announced to perform last year, will close-out the rodeo for a special performance with Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen on Sunday, March 17.
